What is my kindle email address?

Every Kindle has an email address that you can use to email files to your kindle. But what if you don’t know your kindle email address?

Here is how you can find it:

• Login to the Manage Your Kindle section of Amazon:

www.amazon.co.uk/myk (UK)
www.amazon.com/myk (US)

• You need to look at the menu on the left of the page. Under the heading “Your Kindle Account”, you will find a link that says “Manage Your Devices”.

• Under “Registered Kindle”, you will be able to find your email address, which will look something like “yourname_36@kindle.com”

Once you have found this email address, you can just send a file to your kindle by sending a blank email to this email address with the file as an attachment!

   I can’t remember my amazon password. So I clicked on “forgot password”. The instructions then read “Enter the e-mail address associated with your Amazon.com account, then click Continue. We’ll email you a link to a page where you can easily create a new password.”, and so I entered my kindle email the whole [___]@kindle.com and it said that it’ll send me an email so I can get a new password but the thing is that I have no idea how to check at my kindle email. Help?

     Hi Katherine, I think your problem is that you shouldn’t be entering your kindle email address here. The kindle email address (XXXXX@kindle.com) is ONLY used to send books or documents to your kindle device.

     The email address that amazon would be asking for is the email that you used for your amazon account when placing your order for your kindle to begin with. So, most likely this is your yahoo email address. If you enter this, then hopefully amazon should email your password to that email account.
