How to type numbers quickly on your Kindle 3

If you are lucky enough to own a lovely Kindle 3, then there are a few hidden features that not everyone knows about. One of these features is the shortcut to type numbers direct from the keypad.

As I’m sure you are aware, normally if you want to write numbers, you have to use the symbol button and then navigate to the number you want to use, and hit select. A little annoying.

However, on the Kindle 3, you can use a shortcut and type numbers by pressing and holding Alt + the top row of letters.
